About the University

Why Kemerovo State?

Kemerovo State Medical University is a Russian government medical university in the Siberian city of Kemerovo, founded in 1955. It is recognized by the National Medical Commission of India and approved by the World Health Organization, and is listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools.

The MBBS programme runs six years including a one-year internship, taught in English for international students. As a state university it charges no donation or capitation fee — the published tuition is the tuition.

With over 2500 Indian students on campus, Kemerovo has among the most established Indian support infrastructure of any university we work with: Indian mess facilities, Indian senior networks, and faculty long experienced in teaching Indian cohorts.

Kemerovo State Medical University serves the Kuzbass region of western Siberia and is attached to a substantial regional hospital system — which is what produces the patient volume behind its clinical teaching. It is a demanding posting on climate and an unusually strong one on value, and it carries verified fee data in this portfolio rather than a figure quoted on request. Students who choose it do so with the winter in full view, and the ones who prepare for it properly do well there.

It is an industrial city with a substantial regional hospital network attached to the university, and the costs are among the lowest we publish. Common Questions

MBBS at Kemerovo State — your questions answered

Yes. Since the National Medical Commission's 2018 regulations, every Indian student who wishes to study medicine abroad and practise in India must qualify NEET-UG. You need only to clear the qualifying percentile — you do not need a rank high enough for an Indian government seat. Without a valid NEET qualification you will not receive an Eligibility Certificate from the NMC, and you will not be permitted to sit FMGE or NExT on your return.
