Why Kazakh Russian?
Kazakh Russian Medical University is based in Almaty and delivers its medical programme in English to international students. It is the second of the two Kazakh institutions in our current lineup.

Founded in 1992 as the Kazakhstan Medical University, KRMU was established under Dr Mukhtar Aliyev of the Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan and is regarded as one of the country's premier private medical institutions. Its teaching staff includes foreign scientists and clinicians alongside Kazakh faculty, and it runs an academic mobility programme that lets students study and practise abroad during the degree. Indian teaching staff prepare Indian students specifically for the Indian screening examination, and admission follows the rules set by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan's largest city and its commercial capital, set directly against the Tian Shan range — the mountains are visible from most of the city and they shape both the weather and the weekends. The name comes from the apple trees the region is known for. Almaty holds most of the country's financial sector and is the centre of Kazakh higher education, and its climate is genuinely extreme in both directions: hot summers, cold winters, sharpened by the mountainous terrain. For students it means a real city with a metro, a short direct flight home, and established Indian food supply.
